United Nations Joint Staff Pension Fund, New York, provided initial funding for two low-carbon exchange-traded funds, one launched by BlackRock and another by State Street Global Advisors, said a news release from the U.N.’s office of the secretary-general.
The pension fund, which currently has $53 billion in assets, seeded iShares MSCI ACWI Low Carbon Target ETF and SPDR MSCI ACWI Low Carbon Target ETF.
The asset sizes of the new ETF allocations were not disclosed.
