Franklin Regional Retirement System, Greenfield, Mass., rehired Seizert Capital Partners to manage a $6 million domestic midcap core equity mandate for the $120 million pension fund.
The RFP was issued in September to comply with state law stating that contracts must be put out to bid every five years.
Dahab Associates, investment consultant to the pension fund, assisted with the search.
Dale Kowacki, executive director of the pension fund, said other finalists were Fairpointe Capital, Cornerstone Capital Management, Quantitative Management Associates and Zacks Investment Management.
