Swampscott (Mass.) Retirement System is searching for an active domestic large-cap growth equity manager to run between $5 million and $6 million for the $44 million pension fund.
Fiduciary Investment Advisors, the pension fund’s investment consultant, is assisting with the search.
Maura Goulart, senior research analyst at Fiduciary Investment Advisors, said the search is being conducted due to a state requirement that services go out to bid every five years. Fred Alger Management is the current manager and is expected to rebid.
The RFP is available on Fiduciary Investment Advisors’ website. Proposals are due 4 p.m. EST Dec. 22. A selection is expected to be made sometime in the first quarter of 2015.
