Barbara Petitt was named editor of the Financial Analysts Journal, said a statement from the CFA Institute, which owns the publication.
Ms. Petitt replaces Rodney N. Sullivan, who left as editor May 23 to join AQR Capital Management as vice president and leads the firm’s outreach program to engage clients and prospects with the firm’s research ideas.
Ms. Petitt was director, curriculum projects, Europe, Middle East, Africa, at the CFA Institute, working on curriculum for the organization’s educational portfolio, including the CFA program and its Claritas investment certificate.
“The CFA Institute portfolio of publications offers an extensive array of research and insight into topics relevant not just to CFA charterholders but to all financial professionals,” Ms. Petitt said in the statement. “As I take up this new role, I look forward in particular to extending the growing stature and influence that the FAJ enjoys in the industry globally and continuing to provide our members and colleagues in the profession with the expert thought leadership expected of CFA Institute.”
