Victoria May was named head of institutional for North America at Insight Investment, a spokeswoman said.
The position is new, and Ms. May is based in New York.
Ms. May reports to Philip Anker, global head of distribution at Insight, and will develop Insight’s North American institutional distribution strategy.
Insight is a subsidiary of BNY Mellon Asset Management and has $516 billion of assets under management.
“The recent announcement of BNY Mellon’s intentions to acquire Cutwater Asset Management, which will support our fixed-income offering in the U.S. means that we have reached a pivotal point in the development of our U.S. business,” Mr. Anker said in a news release from Insight. “(Ms. May’s) track record of delivering investment propositions to U.S. consultants and clients is integral to our U.S. growth plans moving forward.”
Ms. May was previously managing director, asset management solutions for J.P. Morgan Asset Management’s global multiasset group, according to the news release. Spokeswomen for J.P. Morgan were not available to comment by press time.
