Armand Yambao was named pension risk strategist on Northern Trust's multimanager solutions team, said spokesman John O'Connell in an e-mail.
Mr. Yambao is responsible for helping plan executives “understand the risk in their retirement plans (both pension and health care) and to design investment solutions to help mitigate those risks,” Mr. O'Connell wrote. Mr. Yambao will report to Richard Campbell, senior investment program strategist and director of multimanager solutions.
Previously, Mr. Yamboa was a principal and asset-liability consultant at Hewitt EnnisKnupp. MacKenzie Lucas, spokeswoman at HewittEnnis Knupp, could not immediately be reached for information on a replacement.
It could not be learned by press time whether Mr. Yambao's position is new.
Also, Patrick Pucher was named senior vice president on Northern Trust's consultant relations team.
The position is new. Mr. Pucher will report to John Krieg, global head of institutional distribution.
Mr. Pucher joined Northern Trust from State Street Global Advisors where he developed and managed relationships with investment consulting firms. Carolyn Cichon, spokeswoman at State Street, could not immediately be reached for information on a replacement.
