El Paso County Retirement Plan, Colorado Springs, Colo., could issue an RFP for a trustee/custodian in January, said Thomas Pfeifle, executive director of the $319 million pension fund, in an e-mail.
The search is being considered for due diligence reasons. “We have not issued (an RFP) on these services for quite some time, so we thought it best to at least go out to RFP and see what the market will bear for the same services,” Mr. Pfeifle wrote.
Wells Fargo is the incumbent. Because the RFP has not been written, Mr. Pfeifle could not say whether Wells Fargo will be invited to rebid.
