Elizabeth Renshaw-Ames was appointed trustee CEO at HSBC Bank Pension Trust (U.K.), said a spokeswoman.
Ms. Renshaw-Ames will join Jan. 12. She is replacing Lesley Alexander, who resigned earlier this year. Ms. Alexander will join pensions communications specialist Ferrier Pearce in mid-January.
Ms. Renshaw-Ames is currently a senior partner and U.K. head of client management at Mercer. A spokesman for the consulting firm confirmed her departure, and said a successor will be "announced in due course."
HSBC's defined benefit fund has £20 billion ($31.3 billion) of assets, said the spokeswoman. HSBC outsourced management of its £1.8 billion of defined contribution assets to Fidelity in September.
