Dan Kiang joined Ontario Teachers' Pension Plan in Hong Kong as a director in relationship investing, focused on direct equity investments across Asia, the Toronto-based pension plan announced Thursday.
The position is new.
In a news release, the C$140.8 billion (US$124.3 billion) plan said Mr. Kiang is joining from the Hong Kong office of multistrategy alternatives firm Mount Kellett Capital Management, where he was a managing director. A spokesman for Mount Kellett couldn't immediately be reached for comment.
