Estimated assets of Asia-focused hedge funds are up 4.6% year-to-date through Sept. 30 to $117.4 billion, according to an HFR report released Thursday.
Net flows through September were estimated to be $2.58 billion, and the HFRX Asia Composite Hedge Fund index was up 1.6% through the first nine months of the year.
The report said capital growth has been concentrated in fixed income-based relative value arbitrage and event-driven strategies, up 16.4% and 13.7%, respectively. Asian equity hedge fund assets are up 6.4%.
