Blackstone Alternative Asset Management and NWI Management launched a joint venture — Blackstone NWI Asset Management — to invest in emerging markets fixed income.
Global macro hedge fund manager NWI manages the new venture’s assets and BAAM, the non-investment functions such as operations, marketing, legal and compliance services, a BAAM news release said.
BAAM manages $65 billion in hedge funds of funds and customized hedge fund portfolios. NWI manages $4.9 billion.
