Vincent Nobel was appointed head of real estate debt at Hermes Investment Management, a spokeswoman said.
Mr. Nobel replaces Marcus Palmer, who left the firm earlier this year, she said. Further details were not available.
Mr. Nobel, who will start in January, will also manage the Hermes Real Estate Senior Debt Fund. The fund, which invests in U.K. commercial real estate loans, was launched in 2013 with a £400 million ($634.5 million) seed investment.
Mr. Nobel was previously an associate director covering senior loans within M&G Investments' real estate debt team, said a source familiar with the situation. A spokeswoman for M&G Investments declined to comment.
