Louisiana Teachers’ Retirement System, Baton Rouge, made three private equity commitments totaling up to $200 million, said Dana Brown, director of public markets.
The $16.6 billion pension fund committed up to $100 million to buyout fund American Securities Partners VII. The pension fund previously committed $75 million to American Securities Opportunities Fund III in April 2013.
Also, the pension fund committed up to $50 million to venture capital fund Insight Venture Partners IX. The pension fund previously committed up to $50 million to Insight Venture Partners VIII in February 2013.
The pension fund also committed up to $50 million to NGP Natural Resources XI, a private equity fund managed by NGP Energy Capital Management. It is the pension fund’s first commitment to NGP Energy Capital Management.
