Mercer posts listing to replace Metrick

Mercer is seeking a senior consultant to lead its responsible investment business in the U.S. in a move to replace Craig Metrick, who joined Cornerstone Capital.

Duties include building Mercer’s responsible investment business and undertaking research into responsible investment products.

Qualifications include at least 10 years of experience in financial services, preferably investment management or investment consulting, including at least five years of experience in responsible investment.

Mercer’s responsible investment team is taking on Mr. Metrick’s duties in the interim, said Jane Ambachtsheer, partner and global head of responsible investment, in an e-mail.

The job opening is posted here.

Mercer executives hope to fill the position by the end of December or in January, Ms. Ambachtsheer said.

Mr. Metrick, who was a principal and U.S. head of responsible investment, left Mercer last month, Ms. Ambachtsheer said.

At Cornerstone Mr. Metrick is director, manager due diligence and thematic research. It is a new position, Karen Benezra, head of strategic marketing and communications, said in an interview. Mr. Metrick will report to John Wilson, head of corporate governance, engagement and research for Cornerstone, which is an investment consultant and investment management firm, focused on sustainable investing.
