After slipping 5.4% over a five-day trading window in mid-October, the S&P 500 index has strongly rebounded off its Oct. 15 lows. Since closing at 1,862.49 on that date, the index is up 9.5%, closing at record high of 2,038.26 on Nov. 10.
Year-to-date the index has returned 12.1%.
