Donald Kendig was named retirement administrator of the $3.9 billion Fresno County (Calif.) Employees’ Retirement System, effective Wednesday, said Becky Van Wyk, assistant retirement administrator, in an e-mail.
Ms. Van Wyk was appointed interim administrator on April 2 after Phillip Kapler resigned in March. Ms. Van Wyk declined to comment on the reason for Mr. Kapler’s resignation. Ms. Van Wyk will stay on as assistant retirement administrator at Fresno County, she said.
Mr. Kendig previously served as the retirement administrator of the $4.4 billion Ventura County (Calif.) Employees’ Retirement Association. He left that role late last year. “It was not a match,” Mr. Kendig said.
