During the first quarter of 2014, the Cambridge Associates Global ex-U.S. Developed Markets Private Equity and Venture Capital index gained 3.4%, outperforming the MSCI World ex-U.S. by 245 basis points.
The Cambridge Associates Emerging Markets PE/VC index rose 2.7%, outpacing the MSCI Emerging Markets index by 324 basis points in the quarter.
Over the past 10 years, the global ex-U.S. developed markets private equity index outperformed the public index by 6.7 percentage points annually, while the emerging markets PE index outperformed the public index by 1.8 percentage points.
