Jeff Passmore joined money management firm Barrow, Hanley, Mewhinney & Strauss as a director, client portfolio manager, said John Williams, the firm’s chief investment officer for fixed income, in an interview Monday.
The position is new. Mr. Passmore, an actuary by training, will focus on the firm’s liability-driven investing strategies for institutional investors.
Mr. Passmore previously was a senior liability strategist at Standish Mellon Asset Management. Patrice Kozlowski, spokeswoman for parent company BNY Mellon, was not able to provide information by press time as to whether Mr. Passmore had been replaced or whether there is search to fill his position.
Barrow, Hanley, Mewhinney & Strauss has $98 billion in assets under management.
