Lisle-Woodridge Firefighters Pension Fund, Lisle, Ill., hired MFS Investment Management to run about $3 million in its international value equity mutual fund, said Steve Demas, president of the $55 million pension fund.
Funding will come from Thornburg Investment Management, which was terminated because the board was “looking for further diversification” and Thornburg's performance “lagged behind some of its peers,” Mr. Demas said. Thornburg managed about $3 million in its international value equity mutual fund for the pension fund.
Rebecca Carrier, spokeswoman at Thornburg, declined comment.
