Danish consultant Kirstein hired Standard Life Investments to run a $200 million global equity allocation on behalf of one of its clients, said a spokesman for Kirstein.
The segregated allocation — which a spokeswoman for SLI said was from an institutional client, although she declined to comment further — will be managed by SLI’s global equities team. It will be wrapped in a Danish mutual fund format, which allows for easy access by domestic institutional investors.
“We are pleased to enter into cooperation with Standard Life on global equities,” said Jesper Kirstein, CEO and founder of Kirstein, in a news release from SLI.
