Jane Kirkland was named senior vice president for investment servicing at State Street Global Services, the asset servicing unit of State Street Corp., spokeswoman Anne McNally said.
The position is new and will focus on specialized money managers such as private equity firms, Ms. McNally said. Ms. Kirkland will report to Gunjan Kedia, executive vice president and head of U.S. investment services.
Ms. Kirkland was founder of Kirkland Partners, a consulting firm focused on private equity, financial institutions and corporate clients. The firm has closed.
State Street had $28.5 trillion in assets under custody and administration as of Sept. 30.
