KKR & Co.'s assets under management totaled $96.1 billion as of Sept. 30, a 1.9% drop from three months earlier but a 6.5% increase from a year earlier, the company said in its earnings report released Thursday.
Dry powder, or unspent committed capital, totaled $862.1 million as of Sept. 30, down 11.8% from June 30.
KKR's private markets AUM totaled $59.2 billion as of Sept. 30, down 0.3% from three months ago and down 0.8% from a year ago. Public markets AUM totaled $37 billion, down 3.9% from June 30 but up 21.3% from 12 months ago.
New capital raised in the third quarter totaled $2.7 billion, compared to distributions to limited partners of $4.9 billion. The fair value of funds decreased a total of $381 million in the quarter.
Net income under generally accepted accounting principles for the third quarter was $89.9 million, down 50% from the previous quarter and down 56% from the third quarter of 2013.
