Lori Heinel was named chief portfolio strategist at State Street Global Advisors, said company spokeswoman Alicia Curran Sweeney.
The position is new. Ms. Heinel, who will oversee a global team of 20, will report to Rick Lacaille, executive vice president and global chief investment officer at SSgA.
Ms. Heinel was chief investment strategist for OppenheimerFunds. A spokeswoman for the company said the firm is evaluating the position and how to handle Ms. Heinel’s responsibilities going forward
