Lance Donenberg was named principal and head of strategic business development at hedge funds-of-funds manager Evanston Capital Management.
The position, in which Mr. Donenberg oversees marketing and client service, is new, said Megan Griffin, an ECM spokeswoman.
Mr. Donenberg was co-head of North America and head of business development for Man Group and was based in the alternative asset manager’s New York office. Hillary Yaffe, a Man Group spokeswoman, declined to comment about Mr. Donenberg’s replacement.
ECM managed $4.9 billion for about 300 institutional investors as of Sept. 30.
