Dallas Police & Fire Pension System decided to split the retirement administrator position into two roles — an executive director/CEO and chief investment officer, said a letter from Donald C. Rohan, interim administrator, on the $3.4 billion pension fund’s website.
The pension fund is currently searching for a replacement for Richard Tettamant, who filled both roles as administrator and resigned in June. The search will now be split into two recruitments, Mr. Rohan’s letter said. Mr. Rohan, formerly the assistant administrator, was appointed interim administrator following Mr. Tettamant’s resignation.
Hiring decisions are expected in three to four months, with the executive director/CEO position to be filled first.
An official at the pension fund could not be reached for additional information on the revised search by press time.
In August, Hudepohl & Associates was hired to assist the pension fund in its search for a permanent administrator. Gary Hudepohl, principal and managing director at Hudepohl & Associates, could not immediately be reached for further information by press time.
