Austin (Texas) Police Retirement System named two finalists in its search for a hedge fund-of-funds manager to run approximately $30 million, said Sampson Jordan, CEO of the $622 million pension fund, in an e-mail.
The finalists are Permal Group and Ironwood Capital Management, Mr. Jordan wrote.
A hiring decision could be made on Nov. 19.
The pension fund has a 10% target allocation to hedge funds.
Investment consultant The Bogdahn Group is assisting with the search.
