The Road Commission for Oakland County Retirement System, Beverly Hills, Mich., hired The Bogdahn Group as general investment consultant, said Dennis Lockhart, administrator of the $195 million system, in an e-mail.
The Bogdahn Group will also provide consulting services for the system’s $27 million retiree health-care trust.
An RFP was issued in July due to the contract expiration of incumbent consultant, Independent Portfolio Consultants. Independent Portfolio Consultants rebid but was not chosen because it did not offer indexing options, in addition to its active manager products, Mr. Lockhart wrote.
“The systems wanted to expand their investment option opportunities,” Mr. Lockhart wrote.
The retirement system also considered responses from Asset Consulting Group, Dahab Associates, Graystone Consulting, Strategic Investment Group and SEI.
