Maliz Beams is resigning as CEO of Voya Financial's retirement solutions business to pursue “other opportunities,” said spokesman Christopher Breslin.
Ms. Beams will be replaced by Rodney O. Martin Jr., chairman and CEO of Voya Financial, effective immediately.
Before joining Voya in 2011 — which was known as ING U.S. Retirement Solutions at the time — Ms. Beams served as president and CEO of TIAA-CREF's individual and institutional services.
Voya (ING at the time) ranked 5th with $325 billion in record-keeping assets as of Sept. 30, 2013, according to Pensions & Investments data.
Ms. Beams couldn't be reached for comment.
