Nathan Shetty was named U.S. senior asset allocation strategist at UBS Global Asset Management, an internal memo to employees obtained by Pensions & Investments said.
He replaced Lowell Yura, who joined BMO Global Asset Management as managing director, head of multiasset solutions.
Mr. Shetty will manage all asset allocation and currency strategist activity in the U.S. He will also be in charge of communicating the investment process of the firm's global investment solutions team and working with the distribution and marketing teams to develop strategies for the U.S. market.
He will be based in Chicago and report to Stefan Lecher, managing director and global head strategist for UBS.
Mr. Shetty was a managing director and head of the investment solutions group at Mesirow Financial. Mesirow spokeswoman Debbie Krieps did not return a phone call about whether he will be replaced.
