Russell K. Mayerfeld was named senior managing director in investments at Allstate Corp., said Maryellen Thielen, spokeswoman.
It is a new position. Mr. Mayerfeld oversees about $10 billion in private equity, infrastructure and real assets, real estate and commercial mortgage loans in the firm's Allstate Investments unit. He reports to Judith P. Greffin, executive vice president and chief investment officer.
Mr. Mayerfeld was previously an independent consultant to private equity funds and corporations.
Separately, Peter Keehn was promoted to managing director, private equity investing. His title was previously global head of private equity and his responsibilities remain the same. He reports to Mr. Mayerfeld.
