Woburn (Mass.) Retirement System is searching for a private equity manager to run up to $5 million.
The $125 million pension fund is seeking a manager that has a “private co-investment vehicle only that makes direct investments alongside leading private equity funds,” said an RFP posted on the website of the pension fund's investment consultant, Wainwright Investment Counsel.
The chosen manager must have at least two previous co-investment funds. Further information regarding the pension fund's private equity program could not be learned by press time.
Proposals are due at 2 p.m. EDT on Oct. 27. A timetable for a decision has yet to be determined.
The RFP is available on Wainwright's website.
Phone calls to Maureen T. Marcucci, administrator, were not returned by press time.
