Plymouth County (Mass.) Retirement Association is searching for domestic small-cap growth equity and midcap value equity managers to run about $45 million and $48 million, respectively, said William Farmer, executive director of the $795 million pension fund.
Both active and passive managers will be considered.
The search is being conducted due to a requirement that services go out to bid every five years. Current small-cap equity manager Boston Co. Asset Management and existing midcap manager Fisher Investments are invited to rebid.
Funding will come from the current small-cap and midcap managers.
The RFPs are available on the website of Wainwright Investment Counsel, consultant to the pension fund. Proposals are due by 2 p.m. EDT on Nov. 10. A hiring decision could be made by the end of 2014 or in early 2015.
