Kevin Lecocq was appointed global head of products at UBS Global Asset Management, a spokesman said.
It is a new position; Mr. Lecocq will start Nov. 1.
Mr. Lecocq, who will be based in Zurich, also will be a member of the global asset management executive committee. In an internal memo, Ulrich Koerner, CEO of UBS Global Asset Management, said the firm needs to have “best-in-class product development and management capabilities.”
Mr. Lecocq will lead the product development and management teams globally, and also will work with the distribution, investment capability, operations and marketing teams.
He was chief investment officer at Deutsche Bank Private Wealth Management.
UBS also named Andreas Schlatter global head of distribution, a new position. He is currently head of Switzerland. Information on a replacement could not be learned.
Mr. Schlatter will oversee a revamped global distribution model that has four regional teams, covering Europe, the Middle East and Africa, Switzerland, the Americas and Asia-Pacific.
