Sarah Butcher was named vice president in charge of institutional and investment consultant relationships in Canada at Neuberger Berman.
Ms. Butcher reports to Clay Khan, senior vice president, head of Canada, institutional client group.
Ms. Butcher’s position is new. Her responsibilities had been handled by Mr. Khan, said Scott Kilgallen, managing director, who oversees institutional and intermediary channels in Canada.
Ms. Butcher was director of institutional client business at BlackRock Asset Management Canada. Maeve Hannigan, spokeswoman at BlackRock, could not be reached for details on Ms. Butcher’s replacement.
Neuberger Berman managed about US$1.3 billion in equities, fixed income and alternatives strategies for Canadian pension funds and endowments as of June 30. Overall, the firm had US$257 billion in AUM as of the same date.
