University of West Florida’s foundation, Pensacola, will search for an investment consultant in the spring, said Brittany Swinford, university spokeswoman.
The $72 million UWF Foundation is required to issue an RFP for an investment consultant every five years. A draft RFP will be reviewed at the foundation’s investment committee meeting on Nov. 20.
Current consultant Atlanta Consulting Group will be invited to rebid.
Separately, the foundation hired SouthernSun Asset Management to run about $4 million in active domestic small-cap equities. SouthernSun replaced Cortina Asset Management, which was terminated for performance.
John Potter, founding principal at Cortina Asset Management, did not return a phone call by press time.
