Edward Rutherford was elected for a one-year term as president of the National Association of Government Defined Contribution Administrators.
Mr. Rutherford is the business manager for the human services department of Larimer County, Colo., based in Fort Collins. He is a member of the county’s retirement board and a former board chairman. The retirement board is in charge of the Larimer County 401(a) plan. The plan has an estimated $170 million in assets, he said in an interview.
Mr. Rutherford was elected by NAGDCA members at the association’s annual meeting last week in San Antonio. He succeeds Ralph Marsh as NAGDCA president. Mr. Marsh is executive director of the $3.8 billion Houston Firefighters’ Relief & Retirement Fund.
