Simon Vanstone, head of European institutional business at Vanguard Group, died on Wednesday, said Tom Rampulla, managing director of Vanguard’s European business, in an e-mailed statement.
Mr. Vanstone was 53. He is survived by his wife and three children. A cause of death was not given.
He joined Vanguard Group in February 2012 in the newly created role of head of European institutional business and before that was European CEO and chief marketing officer at AXA Rosenberg Investment Management.
“Simon made a big difference to our efforts here in Europe and on the lives of the crew. We will miss him,” Mr. Rampulla said.
