The municipal council in Asker, Norway, hired Storebrand Asset Management to run the operation and investment management of its newly established pension fund, said a posting on the European procurement website Tenders Electronic Daily.
The council issued an RFP in July following a decision in May to create the municipal pension fund.
The contract with Storebrand is scheduled to begin Jan. 1, 2015, and end Dec. 31, 2021.
Rolf Brakstad, Asker spokesman, could not be reached by press time.
