Valentina Chen was named a portfolio manager on Vontobel Asset Management’s emerging markets fixed-income team, a spokeswoman said.
Ms. Chen will manage the $216 million Vontobel Fund Emerging Markets Bond, a local currency fund, and report to Luc D’hooge, head of emerging markets fixed income at Vontobel. She replaces Tamara Trihn, who left to pursue another opportunity, the spokeswoman said.
Ms. Chen was a local currency fund manager on Aviva Investors’ emerging markets debt team. Co-managers Liam Spillane and Stuart Ritson assumed her responsibilities, said Aviva spokeswoman Laura Cocker.
Vontobel had 172 billion Swiss francs ($184.3 billion) in assets under management as of June30.
