Northern York County Regional Police Pension Fund, Dover, Pa., is searching for an investment consultant and manager, said Diane Wales, administrative assistant.
The $16 million pension fund is conducting the search because one has not been done in many years, Ms. Wales said. Current consultant and manager Wilmington Trust is invited to rebid.
The chosen firm will make asset allocation decisions and manage all the assets, but does not have fiduciary responsibility, requiring approval from the pension board.
The RFI is available on the police department's website. Proposals are due at 4 p.m. EDT on Oct. 17. Ms. Wales said officials hope to make a decision in January.
