Wike Groenenberg was named alternatives strategy director, macro, at BlueBay Asset Management, spokeswoman Laura Hudson said.
The position is new. Ms. Groenenberg will lead the direction of BlueBay Macro Fund’s strategy as well as the fund’s investor relations function. He will report to Mattias Hojmark-Jensen, head of sales.
Ms. Groenenberg was managing director and head of emerging markets strategy at Citigroup in London. Her responsibilities were assumed by Luis Costa, chief Central and Eastern Europe, Middle East and Africa, strategist, said Citigroup spokesman Simon Boughey.
BlueBay Asset Management managed more than $66.6 billion in assets as of June 30.
