Los Angeles Fire & Police Pension System’s board is expected to approve two RFPs at Thursday’s meeting.
The searches would be for U.S. fixed-income emerging managers and small-cap/microcap domestic equity emerging managers for a total $100 million allocation, agenda materials for the Sept. 18 meeting show.
Managers selected would each manage about $20 million to $25 million; the number of mandates has not yet been determined.
The pension fund’s general investment consultant RVK is assisting.
Officials at the $18 billion pension fund expect the searches to begin Sept. 29, with responses due no later than Nov. 14. A selection date has not been set. The RFPs will be posted on the pension fund’s website.
