Charlotte Clark was named director of private pensions at the Department for Work & Pensions, spokesman Daniel Barnes said.
Ms. Clark replaced Bridget Micklem who was appointed interim director following the resignation of Sarah Healey at the end of 2013. Ms. Micklem was previously deputy director.
The Department for Work & Pensions is responsible for developing welfare and pension policy.
Previously, Ms. Clark was head of pensions and savings at HM Treasury. A HM Treasury spokesman declined to provide information about Ms. Clark’s replacement.
