Kenneth J. Monaghan was named managing director and head of global high yield at Amundi Smith Breeden, spokeswoman Robin Schoen said.
It is a new position. Mr. Monaghan will lead the firm's efforts to expand its developing domestic and global high-yield strategies. He will work out of the company's Durham, N.C., headquarters and report to Daniel R. Adler, executive vice president and director of the Amundi Smith Breeden's investment management group.
Mr. Monaghan was a partner and head of U.S. high yield at Rogge Global Partners. John Graham, senior partner, portfolio manager, at Rogge Global, said in an e-mail that the firm will “continue to add resources as we find talented individuals who fit our needs.”
Amundi has €13 billion ($16.83 billion) in global high-yield AUM.
