Dietrich Heidtmann was named managing director and head of international capital markets at GTIS Partners, spokesman Mark LaVoie said.
The position is new. Mr. Heidtmann will oversee the firm's new office in Paris. He will report to Tom Shapiro, president and chief investment officer of GTIS Partners.
Mr. Heidtmann was global head of investor relations and capital markets for AXA Real Estate Investment Managers. Spokesman Richard Sunderland said other members of the AXA REIM investment team assumed his responsibilities.
