Nik Amlizan Mohamed has been named chief investment officer of Kumpulan Wang Persaraan (KWAP), Malaysia's pension fund for federal employees, said a spokeswoman for the 99.9 billion ringgit (US$31.2 billion) Kuala Lumpur-based pension fund.
Ms. Nik Amlizan was promoted from her previous role as KWAP's senior director, equity, to take the place of Ahmad Norhisham Hassan, who died in February “after collapsing in his office,” less than a year after taking on the CIO role in April 2013.
The KWAP spokeswoman couldn't immediately provide information regarding plans to fill the senior director, equity role.
