Taunton (Mass.) Contributory Retirement System is conducting a search for a core and core-plus fixed-income manager or managers to run a total of $40 million, said William Dahab, a principal and director of research at the $260 million pension fund’s investment consultant, Dahab Associates.
The pension fund could hire managers to run $20 million in each allocation.
The pension fund is conducting the search to comply with state law that all contracts have to go out to bid every five years. C.S. McKee and Emerald Advisers are the current managers and are invited to rebid.
The RFP is available on Dahab’s website. Proposals are due at 3 p.m. EDT Oct. 23. There is no timeline for a selection.
