Contra Costa County Employees' Retirement Association, Concord, Calif., posted an RFP for an investment consultant on its website.
The board of the $6.5 billion pension fund voted in January to issue the RFP following personnel changes at incumbent Milliman, which has been the pension fund's investment consultant for almost 30 years. The firm is invited to rebid.
Proposals are due at 4:30 p.m. PDT on Oct. 6. A timetable for a decision was not made available by press time.
The RFP is available on the pension plan's website. Governance consultant Cortex Applied Research is assisting.
Timothy Price, chief investment officer, did not return a phone call by press time.
