Honyu Fung and Jason Pang joined AXA Investment Managers’ Asian fixed-income team in Hong Kong, a spokeswoman for the firm said.
Mr. Fung is a senior portfolio manager and his position is new. Mr. Pang is a portfolio manager, and he has filled a vacancy on the team, the spokeswoman said. She did not say whom Mr. Pang had replaced.
Messrs. Fung and Pang report to Jim Veneau, head of fixed income, Asia.
Mr. Fung was associate director for Hong Kong overseeing Asian fixed income at HSBC Global Asset Management, according to a news release from AXA IM. Mr. Pang was a senior Asian fixed-income investment manager also at HSBC. Spokesmen for HSBC could not be reached for comment by press time.
AXA IM has boosted its presence in the Asian fixed-income market with a number of recent hires, said Chris Iggo, chief investment officer and head of fixed income for Europe and Asia at AXA IM, in the news release. He said the team is now complete.
