William Salus was named CEO of alternative fund administrator Apex Fund Services.
Mr. Salus replaces Peter Hughes, founder of the firm. Mr. Hughes was named chairman, a new position, said Mark Way, Apex spokesman.
Mr. Salus was executive vice president and head of sales at BNY Mellon Asset Servicing. His duties are now handled by Marina Lewin, managing director and global head of sales at BNY Mellon for asset servicing and alternative investment services, said Joe Ailinger, BNY Mellon spokesman.
Apex currently has about $30 billion in assets under administration in hedge funds, hedge funds of funds, private equity and real estate, Mr. Way said.
